Six United players have been named in the 2009 Barclays Premier League PFA Team of the Year.
The side, voted for by players from every top-flight club, includes goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, defenders Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra, and midfielders Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ferdinand has now been named in the team five times, while Vidic makes his third appearance and Evra and van der Sar their second. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to have been honoured in each of the last four years.
For Giggs, who picked up the prestigious PFA Player of the Year award, it was the eighth time he has been selected in the side.
The only non-United players to be picked were Glen Johnson (Portsmouth, right back), Ashley Young (Aston Villa, midfield), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool, midfield), Fernando Torres (Liverpool, midfield) and Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea, forward).
