i dono the scorer

As the game ended 0-0, even after the tiring 30minutes of extra time, United claimed their 3rd League Cup title, their first silverware in 2009, 3rd title in this season by a comfortable 4-1 penalty shoot-out. The Devils control the match from the beginnning, and no coubt deserve the win.

There were occasions in the game when the Devils really looked like they are going to score, denied by goalpost and etc. The extra time were really torturing to the players as we can see some of the pros even suffered cramp leg. Probably they are trained to play to the max at 90 minutes, and when they play more than that, their physical are not really ready.

PLayers:
Ben Foster
Did good job in full time. And sealed the marvellous performance with the magnificient save for the first penalty. That really helped tho!!

Evra
Not expected to start, but he did well as expected.

Rio Ferdinand
Another unexpected starter, but he got no problem with that. He captained the team and brought them the glory.

Johny Evans
He is a real Devil. Suffering ankle injury, but very eager to play. He got his name on the first 11. He played well, until we can see that he is limping for the injury, but Sir Alex sub Vidic in for O'Shea, and that pushed Evans to the right, which means more running. But Evans had no complain about that, and actually did well even on the right, defensively and attacking wise.

John O'Shea
I bet he got the first yellow for the game, and he did. HAHA. Danny, chill k.

Nani
Played on the left. He did well early in the game. But didn't see him much when the game wore on. I expect him to be subbed out, but he wasn't.

Scholes
He played well and had no problem to play the same tempo for 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours, 120 minutes, he mantained the same pace. Great for his age, even younger players includind Ronaldo showed that they couldn't handle the length of the game.

Gibson
He did well early of the game. But dissappointing towards the end.

Ronaldo
He played well, but he didn't take shot as much as he could have. And unlucky in some occasions as well.

Tevez
He played his game till the end. I wonder where he got that much of energy tho.

Welbeck
Diappointing outing for the young lad. Maybe he is not yet ready for Wembley.

Anderson (sub Welbeck)
When he came in, the position and strategy changed. More defensive with 4-5-1 from the 4-4-2. He had few shot, but unlucky. I wonder when will he score.

Vidic (sub O'Shea)
Also affected the positioning of the team where Evans had to moved aside. But with him and Ferdinand in the middle, United's back looked like the Great Chinese Wall.

Giggs (sub Gibson)
Came in for the extra time. He used his experience very wisely to dictate the game at the right tempo for that kind of exhaustion.

What ever it is, quadraple on our way. GLORY GLORY.

Me wearing my new United jersey. Lucky jersey cause UNited won the game. Haha.
